Sometimes the Right Attitude Requires Reversing Your Thinking

These are very interesting times we are living in. Everyone seems to have so many things they want to change about our country, our schools, our health care, our laws, our diets, and so much more. However, the more we talk about it, the further we seem to get from coming together to make any real lasting changes. Even as individuals, we seem to complain a lot about the things we don't like about our lives, but we never work to change them.

I believe one of our problems is the world has given us a script that way too many of us have bought into. The script reads like this:

This is the anthem that is often ringing in our ears every time we even think about making a change in our lives or contribute to a change in the world around us. We let this script become the excuse for why we don't even try. But, what if we reversed our thinking? What if we turned this script on its head and used the same words to inspire us. Go back and read the words in bold again, but this time, start reading from the bottom to the top.

Sometimes, God hides the answers to our problems in plain sight. He can use the same words that tear us down to bring us together. All we have to do is trust His promises and be willing to see things in a different way.
